BUS

All Charter Buses must be registered with Arctic Refuge Action Day in order to park at our reserved bus parking lot. Please contact our Bus Coordinator at (202) 861-2242 ext 3048, or at buses@arcticrefugeaction.org.

PRIVATE VEHICLE - PARKING

Park at RFK Stadium, Lot #3 (Commuter parking -19th Street SE & E. Capitol Street) @ $5.00 per vehicle. Hours: 8am-5pm. Date: September 20, 2005. Board the Stadium-Armory Metro Orange or Blue Line to Capitol South Station. Follow walking directions to the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol.

METRO

The closest Metro station to the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol is the Capitol South Metro Station (Orange or Blue Line). Arctic Day staff will direct you to the West Lawn.

AMTRAK

Amtrak offers service to Washington, D.C.'s Union Station. Walk directly across the traffic circle to Delaware Avenue, NE. Walk South on Delaware Avenue until you reach Constitution Avenue, NE. Go right (West) on Constitution Avenue until you reach 1st Street NW. Go left (South) on 1st Street NW onto the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol.

AIR TRAVEL

Arctic Refuge Action Day has secured discounted rates through American Airlines and AirTran Airway. In order to receive our reduced rates, please call the airlines and provide the appropriate "Star File" or "Event Code". You may not use the internet to book these special rates.

Washington, D.C. is serviced by three major Airports: Reagan National, Dulles and Baltimore-Washington International (BWI).

Reagan National Airport: National Airport Metro, take the Blue Line to Capitol South Station.

Dulles: take Washington Flyer Bus (www.washingtonflyer.com) to Vienna Metro Station then Orange Line to Capitol South Station.

Baltimore-Washington Airport (BWI): take airport shuttle to train station, take Marc Train, (800) 325-7245 to Union Station (see above for walking directions from Union Station).
